BOARD FUNCTION:
The Board of Massage and Bodywork (hereafter designated as "the Board")
regulates the practice of massage and bodywork in Delaware, licensing massage
therapists and certifying massage technicians who meet minimum standards of
competency. Among its functions, the Board promulgates rules and regulations;
issues and renews licenses; and disciplines licensees who
violate the law. (24 Del. C., Chapter 53, § 5301-5317)
FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS:
The Board meets on the third Thursday of each
month at 1:30 p.m. with the exception of July and December.
Meetings are open to the public and are held in the
Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover,
Delaware.
To assure consideration of your license application at the next meeting, the Board office must receive all of these items no later than 4:30 PM ten full working days before the meeting date:
- Completed, signed and notarized application form
- Fee payment, and
- All required supporting documentation (see “License Requirements” on the menu to your left).
