Information About Renewal Applications for All Licenses
Landscape Architecture licenses expire on January 31 of odd years (e.g., 2009, 2011).
Several weeks before your license expiration date, a renewal notice will be mailed to the address on your record. This notice will explain how to access the online renewal application. To complete the online renewal application, you must use a credit card to pay your renewal fee. The notice will also explain how to request a paper renewal application if you are unable to renew online.

Information About Renewal Applications for Active Landscape Architects
To renew an active license, you will need to provide information about your continuing education (CE) and seal. For information on CE requirements, refer to Section 7.0 of the Board's Rules and Regulations.
Information About Renewal Applications for Certificate of Authorization
You will need to provide information about the mailing and location addresses, management, and ownership of the business.
Information About Inactive Landscape Architects
If your license is in inactive status and you wish it to remain inactive, you must renew it. No CE nor fee is required.
If your license is inactive but you wish to reactivate it, see Section 8.0 of the Board’s Rules and Regulations.
If you are not actively practicing, you may submit a written request to place your license on inactive status to the Board office.
How to Renew a Lapsed License
If you do not renew your license before the expiration date, your license will expire. It is illegal to practice while your license is expired.
You may renew an expired license for a period of 60 days after the expiration date by submitting a renewal application online and paying a late fee. However, if the license has been lapsed for more than 60 days, you must reapply as a new applicant. |
