ASBOG Examination Schedule

When and Where Exams Are Given

The ASBOG examinations are given twice a year in the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Blvd, Dover, Delaware. You must apply to the Board of Geologists for approval to sit for the exams. Whether applying for approval to sit for one or both examinations, you must submit your application and all required documentation by the final dates shown on the schedule below. Registering with ASBOG and Paying Fees

When the Board has approved you to sit for the examination(s), the Board office will send you a notice with further instructions. The instructions explain how to:

  • register with ASBOG and pay the examination fee(s)
  • pay the proctoring fees to the Board office.

Note that you must meet ASBOG’s deadlines for registering for the exam and paying the exam fees. If you fail to meet ASBOG’s deadlines, ASBOG will not send an examination packet for you to the Board office and you will not be allowed to sit for the exam(s).

For information on the examination content, see the candidate information on the National Association of State Board of Geology website.
