Applying for a License
To apply for a Texas Hold’em Tournament License, submit the following:
Note: Answer all questions completely and legibly. To assure consideration of your license application at the next meeting, the Board office must receive all of these items no later than 4:30 PM ten full working days before the meeting date. A complete application is one that includes all required documentation and correct payment.
- Check or money order in the amount of $250.00 made payable to the "State of Delaware".
- Copy of a letter of tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) establishing that your organization is a charitable organization as defined by the IRS.
- If the event is to be held on premises that the applicant does not own or regularly lease, a separate written explanation of the reason(s) for not holding the event on the applicant’s premises. The request must include the name of the facility where the event will be held.
- Copy of the sponsoring organizations by-laws.
- Copy of the house rules of the third party vendor (company or business that contracts with the sponsoring organization to provide the necessary services and/or equipment to conduct a tournament )
Filing After Occasion Reports
The member-in-charge of the event must file an After Occasion Report with the Board within fifteen (15) days of the event. If the member-in-charge fails to file a report within 15 days of the event, or if the report is not properly completed, no further license(s) will be issued and any existing license will be suspended until the default has been corrected. |
