Testing for Electrical License

Applicants will receive the examination registration form after the Board has approved their application. The registration must be sent along with the $60.00 exam fee, to the testing service. The exams are given the first Saturday in February, May, August and November.

Applicant must obtain a minimum score of 75%. Applicants who fail two consecutive times with a grade of less than 50% each time must wait one year before re-testing.

Applicants who receive a score of 75% or higher will be required to submit

  • A copy of the examination results showing the passing score
  • Proof of liability insurance of at least $300,000
