Answer: Twice a year, normally in the months of
January and June.
Question: Am I required to take the
Practical Exam if I am a practicing dentist in another state?
Answer: Yes. All Dental Applicants must sit for the Practical Examination regardless of years in practice.
Question: I am a foreign-trained
dentist. Can I receive a dental license in Delaware?
Answer: Delaware Law 1122(a)(1) requires all applicants to have received a degree in dentistry (DDS, DMD) from a dental college or university accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (ADA). Currently the ADA has not accredited any schools outside the United States and Canada.

Answer: Yes. The Board office can provide this
information upon request.
Question: Is it necessary
to receive prior approval for continuing professional

Answer: No. Refer to Section 6.0 of the Board's Rules and Regulations concerning
continuing education to assure your hours meet
the criteria.
Question: Where do I
get my x-ray certification?
Answer: The Division of Public Health, Office of Radiation Control, has jurisdiction.
