Information About Renewal Applications
Licenses expire on July 31 of odd years (e.g., 2009, 2011).
Several weeks before your license expiration date, a renewal notice will be mailed to the address on your record. This notice will explain how to access the online renewal application. To complete the online renewal application, you must use a credit card to pay your renewal fee. The notice will also explain how to request a paper renewal application if you are unable to renew online.
Please keep your contact information in our records up-to-date so that notices we send will reach you. To check and update your contact information online, click here.
To renew an active license, you will need to provide information about your continuing education (CE). For information on the CE requirements, see Section 6.2 of the Board's Rules and Regulations.
How to Renew an Expired License
If you do not renew your license before the expiration date, your license will expire. It is illegal to practice architecture while your license is expired.
You may renew an expired license for a period of six months after the expiration date by submitting a renewal application online and paying a late fee. However, if the license has been lapsed for more than six months, you must reapply and pay a reapplication fee. As you will be issued a new license number, you will be required to obtain a new seal. |
